Ultra-Ethical Superannuation finally made available to Australian Investors with the launch of the Crescent Wealth Superannuation Fund. Launched the Crescent International Equity Fund in partnership with Saturna Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Saturna Capital). Launched the Crescent Diversified Property Fund in partnership with Freehold Investment Management (Freehold) and its joint venture partner, Evergreen Capital Partners (Evergreen). Launched the Crescent Islamic Cash Management Fund – another Australian first. This includes partnerships with HSBC Amanah, the Islamic division of the third largest bank in the world HSBC, and also Bank of London and Middle East, the largest Islamic bank in Europe. Crescent Wealth’s suite of Ultra-Ethical investment funds become available as a superannuation option for the first time through leading independent financial planning association, the Association of Independently Owned Financial Professionals (AIOFP). Crescent Wealth & Thomson Reuters launch the first research-based Islamic index for the Australian market, the Thomson Reuters Crescent Wealth Islamic Australia Index. Crescent Wealth announces its partnership to launch Australia’s first international equity fund that invests in accordance with Islamic investment principles.
Crescent Investments Australasia Pty Ltd changes its trading name to Crescent Wealth and moves into offices at Circular Quay Sydney in the heart of Sydney’s financial district. Launched the Crescent Australian Equity Fund in partnership with Sigma Funds Management. The fund was launched in July 2011 with a seed investment from Aon Hewitt’s $2b Superannuation Master Trust ( http://www.aonmastertrust.com.au).
Crescent Funds Management (Aust) Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Investments Australasia Pty Ltd) is granted an Australian Financial Services Licence by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
